WMATA released the following statement to ANC 3B on December 9, 2011, indicating that they will be reversing the recent route changes:
“DDOT and WMATA have agreed to return the N2 routing to Nebraska and Wisconsin avenues effective January 29th (first day of service, Monday, January 30th). WMATA has committed to getting the bus stop signage switched back by then and they will make a concerted effort to update maps and schedules at stops, too. Let me also remind you that the speed of this change was only made possible by the unusual and fortunate timing of a special driver “pick” that is coming up. WMATA will get back to you with more information on timetables and other communication activities and DDOT and WMATA will attend the ANC 3E meeting in January to discuss the routing with them.”
