WMATA Proposed Changes
The public comment period is currently scheduled for February 20 to March 16. Link to information on the FY 2022 budget proposals related to Glover Park and Cathedral Heights.
WMATA is requesting public comments on its revised draft budget and Metrobus service plans for the coming fiscal year 2022. Comments can be submitted through 5 pm on Tuesday, March 16, 2021, by using the WMATA survey and comment form or calling toll-free 844-468-5748, or by providing testimony at one of WMATA’s virtual public hearings scheduled for March 8 – 10. DDOT Bike Proposed Plan
At the ANC3B public meeting on January 21, 2021, DDOT bike program specialists presented two possible designs for bike lanes on New Mexico Avenue/Tunlaw Road/37th Street, where DDOT’s Livability Study in 2019 called for a study of traffic safety improvements on the corridor. DDOT asked for feedback on the concepts and suggestions for other options.
At the ANC3B public meeting on February 11, 2021, the Commission approved a letter to DDOT asking the agency to conduct a fuller study of safety and mobility needs on the corridor for all forms of transportation, including pedestrians, transit, bicycles, delivery vehicles, and other motor vehicles, and a fuller evaluation of a range of alternatives before making a recommendation on specific changes.
